If you are a cyclist you are looking for something special to do in Italy during your city break we suggest to climb the Stelvio pass.

If you are not particularly trained we recommend climbing the stelvio starting from Bormio. 

Bormio is a mountain village that is about 3 hours by car from Milan Malpensa airport, obviously in normal traffic conditions.

Other convenient airports to reach Bormio could be to Bergamo or Verona.
